Earth Day is a moment to reflect, but for us, it’s also a checkpoint – a way to measure progress and set the standard for what comes next.
At Paragon Studio, we have an ongoing commitment to make environmentally conscious decisions to understand our impact and take meaningful action to reduce it.
Since October 2023, that commitment has moved from intention into action.
WHERE IT STARTED – MEASURING OUR IMPACT
Our journey began with a simple principle: take responsibility for what we create.
Working with Carbon Managers, we carried out a full Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of our Paragon Studio Diabolo Dumbells. This gave us a clear, data-driven view of the emissions generated across their lifecycle, from production through to delivery.
With that insight, we committed to offsetting those emissions as part of our wider responsibility to the environment.
TURNING DATA INTO ACTION
To ensure our approach created real, measurable impact, we partnered with Yacht Carbon Offset, specialists in sourcing verified carbon credit projects.
Through this collaboration, we were introduced to blue carbon – one of the most effective natural solutions for capturing and storing atmospheric carbon.
This led us to support Mikoko Pamoja, a long-term mangrove restoration project in Gazi Bay, Kenya, validated under the Plan Vivo Carbon Standard.
EXPANDING OUR IMPACT WITH ECODRIVE
Since October 2025, we’ve expanded our efforts further through our partnership with Ecodrive, supporting the restoration of mangrove forests across East Africa.
These coastal ecosystems, often referred to as “blue forests” are carefully restored tree by tree, with every stage tracked through verified data. This ensures complete transparency and accountability in the impact being created.
Through Ecodrive, we’re able to contribute to projects that not only remove carbon from the atmosphere, but also rebuild vital ecosystems that support local communities.

WHY MANGROVES MATTER
Mangroves are one of the most powerful natural carbon sinks on the planet.
They can capture and store up to 10 times more carbon than traditional forests, locking it deep within their roots and surrounding sediment for generations. Unlike many land-based ecosystems, this carbon remains stored long-term if the habitat is protected.
But their role goes far beyond carbon.
Mangroves:
- Protect coastlines from erosion and extreme weather
- Support marine biodiversity and fish populations
- Strengthen food security for coastal communities
- Create sustainable income and employment opportunities
This is the kind of impact we believe in, environmental restoration that also supports people.
REAL WORLD IMPACT
Across both initiatives, every contribution is designed to be measurable and meaningful. From the mangroves planted in Gazi Bay to wider restoration efforts across East Africa, these projects help address the decline of critical coastal ecosystems caused by development, agriculture, and unsustainable fishing practices. Funding generated through carbon credits is reinvested directly into local communities, supporting access to clean water, education, and conservation-led employment.
LOOKING AHEAD
This Earth Day, we’re proud of the progress made so far, but we’re focused on what comes next.
We’ll continue to:
- Measure and understand our impact
- Offset emissions through verified, high-quality projects
- Support ecosystem restoration and community resilience
- Embed responsibility into every stage of product development
