Paragon Studio Visits London Design Week

London Design Week, Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour

Paragon Studio attended London Design Week at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, where they joined a range of talks led by some of the industry’s most influential designers and creatives. The week offered a brilliant opportunity to hear different perspectives on interiors, craftsmanship, technology and the evolving relationship between wellbeing and design.

A recurring theme across the programme was the storytelling power of interiors. In Unlikely Influences, speakers such as Charlotte Tillbury and Ed O’Donnell explored how carefully selected fabrics, materials and textures can shape the emotional atmosphere of a home, transforming spaces into personal havens. Another lively session, Four Designers, 20 Projects in 20 Seconds hosted by Jennifer Manners, offered a fast-paced showcase of standout projects from leading designers, highlighting different creative approaches, particularly the bold use of colour in projects by Scott Maddux.

Technology within interiors was another key topic. During the Art of Discreet Innovation, designers discussed the shift towards simpler, more seamless technology in the home with solutions such as televisions hidden within mirrors and desks designed to conceal monitors. |t was also inspiring to hear how Lee Lovett founded Soho Lighting after becoming frustrated with poor quality dimming systems, a story that strongly resonates with the origins of Paragon Studio.

Wellness and sanctuary also featured heavily in discussions. Talks including Heritage Reimagined for Contemporary Interiors and Creating Calm: Designing for Wellness highlighted how designers are increasingly creating homes that promote calm and balance. Conversations around projects such as the Whitley London for Six Senses also emphasised the importance of collaboration between designers manufacturers and suppliers.

In Conscious Creativity hosted by Design Anthology UK and On Land and At Sea hosted by BOAT International, sustainability and longevity were also central themes, particularly Designers such as Julia Dean from Winch Design and Tim Gosling founder of Gosling, highlighted how high-quality craftsmanship and long lasting materials are inherently sustainable, with well-made luxury pieces designed to last for decades. One example included furniture made from compressed eggshells for yacht interiors.

For the Paragon Studio team, the week reinforced how closely our work aligns with many of the industry’s evolving priorities. From our focus on bespoke craftsmanship and high-quality materials to the creation of spaces that support wellbeing and longevity, our approach sits naturally within this broader design conversation. Just as interior designers are shaping environments that balance beauty, function and emotion, Paragon Studio continues to design gym and wellness equipment that integrates seamlessly into thoughtfully designed homes and hospitality spaces.

London Design Week provided an inspiring reminder of the creativity, collaboration and craftsmanship that drive the design industry forward, and we’re excited to continue contributing to that conversation.
