ProBath: Redefining Recovery for the Next Generation of Wellness Spaces

Cold plunges aren’t new. But the way we’re thinking about them, and designing them, is.

We’re proud to introduce the ProBath, a luxury ice bath developed by IceTubs.

It’s been built from the ground up for high-output performance environments, capable of handling over 100 sessions a day without compromising on water quality, design integrity, or technical precision. Whether it’s a luxury gym, a modern wellness centre, a high-end spa or a dedicated recovery clinic, this is a product that’s made to work hard and look good doing it. And now it’s available with a signature Paragon aesthetic twist…

“I see great potential in the partnership between our brands! I think with the extra custom touch Paragon adds to icetubs it will be the most exclusive icebath out there.” ~ Chiel Kraai, IceTubs Founder.

For our Creative Director Edward Thomas, this project is about more than just functionality; it’s about raising the standard for what recovery products should be.

“The wellness market has been shifting rapidly, and cold plunges have really emerged as one of the key pillars of recovery,” he says.

“Fitness and recovery now go hand in hand, it’s no longer just about training hard, it’s about how well you can bounce back. A lot of our clients are building luxury studios and performance-led spaces, and we wanted to offer something that matched their ambition, not just technically, but aesthetically too.”

But designing for beauty alone isn’t enough. One of the biggest challenges facing this space is water quality, especially in commercial settings. Many existing products on the market were originally designed for private, domestic use and simply don’t stand up to repeated daily plunges in a gym or spa environment. Things like filtration, temperature control, and hygiene management are often afterthoughts.

“Only recently, in 2024, the UK government introduced formal guidelines for commercial-grade ice baths,” Thomas explains. “They now recommend that a plunge pool should be able to cycle its entire water volume in under six minutes. That’s a big ask. Most current models don’t meet that, because they’re using basic home-level filtration systems.”

At the centre of ProBath’s design is an advanced water management system that starts working the second someone steps in. The surface water, where most of the dirt, oils, and contaminants collect, is pulled through precision-engineered grills into a dual ozone filtration system. Clients also have the option to integrate a chlorine system if needed. The whole process is fully automated and self-cleaning, cycling water quickly, quietly, and without fuss.

“What’s great about this design is the overflow system. It’s clever, but simple. The water displaced by the body gets drawn straight into the filtration circuit, so you’re not waiting around between users. It just works.”

Built to last, and made to be maintained.

Where other products require an engineer call-out for even basic maintenance, IceTubs have created their products with customer service in mind. Components like filters and pumps, the parts most likely to wear with heavy use, are all owner-replaceable. No hidden service fees. No downtime. Just replacement parts shipped directly, with minimal fuss.

“We loved that IceTubs were so open to collaboration. Their customer service ethos is actually built into the product. That’s rare.”

Signature Paragon Studio design.

Naturally, the design language had to reflect our standards too. ProBath is available in Steel or Bronzed frames, with custom timber trims in Oak, Iroko, American Walnut or Blackwood, echoing the material palette used across Paragon Studio equipment. It looks just as at home in a luxury penthouse gym as it does in a world-class spa facility.

“It’s a piece of performance kit, but we didn’t want it to looklike one. We wanted something you’d be proud to have on show in your studio.”
