We are delighted to welcome Giles English to Paragon Studio as board advisor and non-executive director. It is the kind of appointment that tells you where a business is heading, and we could not be more pleased to have him alongside us as we grow.
A builder of British brands
Giles co-founded the British watch brand Bremont with his brother Nick in 2002. Over two decades they built it into one of the most recognised modern British watchmakers, known for precision engineering and a heritage rooted in adventure and aviation. Following the sale of the business in 2023, Giles has focused his energy on emerging British luxury brands, and today also owns YARD-O-LED, the celebrated maker of luxury writing instruments.
What connects everything Giles has done is a belief in craftsmanship, longevity and design that earns its place over time. That is a philosophy we share.
Where Paragon Studio is heading
Paragon Studio was founded by Edward Thomas in 2024 with a clear conviction: a gym should meet the same design standards as the rest of a home, a hotel or a yacht. We design bespoke wellness spaces and create design-led gym equipment for private residential, hospitality and superyacht clients, combining architectural planning with products engineered for the long term.
The studio is growing quickly. We are working with global hospitality brands, have completed projects for London members’ clubs including the recently launched Maslow’s in Kensington, and collaborated with the Italian fashion house Golden Goose in Milan. Designed in London and made in a small artisan workshop in the United Kingdom, our bespoke range is crafted with precision, using materials and finishes chosen for longevity.
The role
In his new role, Giles will work closely with Edward and the wider team across brand development, product and strategic growth. His focus will include mentoring Edward, advising on fundraising, and helping shape the studio’s positioning within the luxury and performance wellness space.
