Most people who order from us never see the workshop. They see a render, then a sample, then a finished piece. We wanted to show the in between.
The cameras followed a piece from raw material through something finished and ready to ship. Timber getting cut and checked. Leather being measured to fit the frame. We also spoke with the workshop team to talk more about the process and materials specifically; what we build with, why and what changes when a piece is bespoke rather than standard.
We use full-grain leather rather than PU. Solid timber and stainless steel rather than moulded plastic. Cork on our yoga equipment instead of synthetic foam. None of that is a marketing line, it is what is sitting on the cutting table when you walk onto the floor. Each material gets checked against the specific piece it’s going into rather than approved on it’s own. A leather sample gets tested against the frame it’ll be fitted to. A timber batch gets matched for grain and colour before it’s cut. That’s part of why a bespoke order takes longer than something off a shelf, there are more checks, and more people involved, at every stage.
